Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy

1. Permitted Use & Platform Access

MailOps provides secure SMTP relay, REST email API, and domain authentication infrastructure for lawful transactional, operational, and permission-based notifications. You are strictly responsible for recipient consent, message contents, sender identity, and compliance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

2. Prohibited Sending Practices & Spam Shield

You may not send unsolicited bulk marketing (SPAM), purchased or scraped mailing lists, deceptive headers, phishing schemes, malware payloads, harassment, or unlawful content. Sending through unverified domains or attempting to circumvent rate limits and reputation filters results in immediate quarantine or account suspension.

3. South African Billing, SARS VAT & 7-Day Grace Period

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in South African Rand (ZAR) plus 15% VAT. Tax Invoices are issued on the 1st of each calendar month. In the event of payment delays or gateway rejections, MailOps provides an automatic 7-Day Payment Grace Period (until the 7th of the month at 23:59:59) allowing uninterrupted sending while payment is settled via PayFast, Instant EFT, or bank transfer.

4. Deliverability Evidence & SLA

MailOps delivers messages directly to recipient mail servers over TLS. Delivery is confirmed when the remote mail server returns an acceptance response code (e.g. 250 2.0.0 OK). Delivery evidence reflects recipient mail server acceptance and does not represent an open or read confirmation.

5. Credentials & API Security

You are responsible for safeguarding API keys and SMTP credentials. If a credential is compromised, rotate or revoke it immediately in the MailOps portal or notify [email protected].
